How to Modify Your Alert Preferences

Alert Preferences are used to set global preferences that are applied to all new alerts that you create. When you receive default alerts that we create for you during your sign up process we apply default preferences which you can modify under 'Alert Preferences'.

To go to Alert Preferences:

  1. Login to your dashboard
  2. From your dashboard select the large icon in the middle right called 'Alert Engine'
  3. Select Alert Preferences from the menu at the top left.

You can modify the following preferences:

  1. Your local time zone: By default all time signatures on Trade Alerts are EST. You can have time signatures in your local time zone.

  2. Trade Alerts Global On/Off Switch: to learn more see 'How to Pause Trade Alerts'

  3. Receive Alerts via Text (On/Off): Use to receive text/SMS for all future alerts set

  4. Receive Alerts via Email (On/Off): Use to receive emails for all future alerts set

  5. Alert Type: Sets the duration for the alert to live

    1. Event Alerts - Good for one event and then cancels
    2. Calendar Alerts - Good for a period of time that you specify
    3. GTC Alerts - Good until Cancelled by you in Manage Alerts
  6. Alert Sensitivity: Sets how often the same alert can retrigger. Sometimes price may oscilate on an alert threshold causing it to retrigger. You can exclude alerts which retrigger too often based on your requirements from 0 mins to 20 mins. The default setting is 5 minutes.

Each time you modify your Global Alert Preferences you will receive an email confirming that you have made a change.
